The Tingis and Central cafes stand out as meeting places for artists from the city's international era. Not far from the Café le Tingis begins Rue des Mouahidines, the main handicraft sales area.
The Citadelle
The Citadel or Casbah forms the upper part of the medina, surrounded by walls, with a magnificent view of the bay and the port of Tangier.
It is accessible from the Petit Souk, going up the typical narrow streets of the medina, or from outside through the Avenue d'Italie.
